Not many people can say that film is their passion. Maybe acting, but never behind the camera. Some would say that it seems like too much work, but I think that if you're up for the challenge, then go for it!!!
I've been interested in filming ever since I was just 8 years old. I would always watch movies and wonder how they were made. That thought was always on my mind. In school, I would spend my time in class day dreaming about good movies plots, often writing them down instead of writing notes. It was just something that I enjoyed to think about, something that I enjoyed doing.
Recently, I have been put into a theater camp. it helps me a lot by learning rules to filming and also how to work a camera for photography and stuff. I've also been taught how to act, which I'm pretty good at, but I don't prefer it.
My favorite genre is horror, or psychological thrillers to be specific. It has always interested me, and I tend to see many great films over the years in hopes that one day I will be able to make one of the best. I want to be big like Stephen King, Wes Craven, Sam Raimi, and many others. If I had to choose a big movie influence though, it would have to be the film "Cabin In the Woods" by Joss Whedon, who also created "The Avengers". I feel as if that film really sets the bar high.
I hope to get into a great college and to learn more about the filming industry, drama, and psychology as well. I hope to have one of my films put onto the big screen one day, and to be big in Hollywood. I know that I have the motivation to go after what I dream of being.
